Reflection: Seventh Grade

When I first arrived in seventh grade to be so fun and full of social time and friends. Oh my God was I ever wrong. I soon realized that nothing was very fun and most of my old friends had turned into jerks. School consumed my life and the little free time I had there was nothing to do with it. By October my life was pretty boring. School was getting so much harder. Eventually I figured out that school stunk.

In seventh grade I learned to move away from fair-weather friends, hand out with people you, trust, like and enjoy being with. Be careful what you buy in the lunch line, listen and do your work and most of all don’t expect help, attention, or praise from anyone. As this year comes to a close I just want to go back to school and start over. My advice is that most importantly you should be careful who you are friends with because they may change and if they do sooner or later they wont be your friends any more.

NBA News

After racist reamrks caught on tape Los Angeles Clippders owner Donald Sterling has been banned for life from all NBA activities, been fined 2.5 million dollars, and will be forced to sell the team. Adam Silver made the decision before players had the chance to begin boycotting which they said they where about to do. Teams had been taking off warm up jackets in unison at half court and wearing there worm up shirts inside out in protest against these racist remarks.

Head Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers Mike D’Antoni’s contract had not been renewed and because of strong dislike he resigned from his job as Head Couch of the Lakers. Lets hope the Lakers can find a better Caoch to lead them to a better season.

Poem

We are Plooters
We dont care
We make messes
Everywhere
We strip forests
Bare of trees
We dump garbage
In the seas

We are Plooters
We enjoy
Finding beauty
To destroy
We intrude
Where creatures thrive
Soon there’s a little
Left alive

Underwater
Underground
Nothings safe
When we’re around
We spew poisons
In the air
We are Plooters
We dont care

When I was little I just couldn’t do without Thomas the Tank Engine. Playing or watching anything else would not satisfy me at all. The 4 year old action was exactly what I needed from Thomas. It was the most fun toy  and the best TV show ever. So much intensity for my little brain was so incomprehensibly awesome. It so many possibilities. You could build a new track every single day and never get bored. While I had it I was the happiest toddler in the universe it was on my brain all the time. That’s why I’ve remembered it for so long. It is forever with me. Without it my childhood wouldn’t have been the same.

Austin

Austin is pretty cool not New York cool but pretty cool. There are so many fun things to do and see, great schools, and sports of all kind ranging from pro and college to basketball and baseball. In all Austin is a great place to live.

Austin is a great place to live because of the amazing education. In Austin there are so many good school districts like Eanes, Lake Travis, and Driping Springs (Eanes is the best). I personally am in the Eanes ISD which is one of the best school districts in Texas. Eanes is good at academics as well as athletics. Eanes is the best. Austin is a great place to not only live but go to school to.

And of coarse Austin is also awesome because of the sports here. There are so many sports of all kind in Austin. Austin holds teams like the Texas Stars American Hockey League team, the Austin Toros NBA D-League team to the San Antonio Spurs, and the Round Rock Express who play in the famous Dell Diamond minor league team to the Texas Rangers. But you can’t forget the Texas Longhorns Austin’s very own Division I NCAA college. In past years they have had top ranked Basketball, Football, Baseball and many other great sports teams. If you like sports Austin has got you covered. So much fun all year long.

Austin is such a fun and great place to live with all the commoditys anyone could ever want. Sports and school and everything inbetween there’s no place like the heart of Texas.

There are also festivities like the dunk contest and the all star game with all the best players in one game. Tonight is the all star game. I’m supper excited because last nights events were pretty awesome.

Why Airports Are Essential By: Jacob And Andrew

Taking you to an abundance of places far and wide, and providing you comfort that cannot be matched. Wow! Airplanes really are essential!

First off, not only can airplanes take you to far away places, they take you there fast too, real fast. Especially compared to boats and trains for example, if you were to travel by boat to Russia so that you could see the Olympics, it would take weeks-maybe even a month. However if you traveled by plane you would reach Russia in around 12 hours. So not only do airplanes take you to places far away, but they are also the best choice in many ways.

Another reason that makes airplanes essential is the best part of an airplane, the first class seats. First class makes it all the more enjoyable! It’s like a whole other story! First class has great air conditioning, tasty refreshments, comfy chairs, and if you’re lucky complementary warm towelettes. It’s less of an airplane and more of a palace in the sky.

The point is that airplanes are essential. So you don’t have to try everything fun or every refreshment, and it doesn’t matter wether you’re in 1st class or worst class. Airplanes can take you to places far away and can keep you comfortable aswell.

Bye David Stern Hello Adam Silver

NBA commissioner David Stern stepped down yesterday after thirty years in office. Adam Silver will take over as the fifth NBA commissioner. But David Stern memory will not be forgotten. Although David stern did much for the league like adding seven teams to the league he also is said to have not done all that he could have to make the NBA the best it could be. Most believe that with a new commissioner brings new possibility’s which hopefully includes less sleeved jerseys. Seriously the All-Star jerseys look more like regular t-shirts!!!

NBA Record Nights Back to Back

On Saturday Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks faced the Charlotte Bobcats. the Knicks started off strong and Carmelo Anthony got hot quick. At the end of the first half he hit a half court buzzer beater to end the first half with 37 points. In the second half Melo was tired but continued to make shot after shot. after the fourth courter Melo had a staggering 58 points but he continued to play. In the fourth he quickly made one more shot but he needed one more shot to break the Knicks all-time record. Its was a struggle but he did make it. Mike Woodson quickly called a time out so Carmelo could bask in the glory of the standing ovation. The next night the Toronto Raptors took on the Los Angeles Clippers. The rising star Terrence Ross was on fire making shot after shot raking up points mostly from the three point line. With about five minutes left in the game he had 48 points. He needed only three points to break the raptors all-time record. His team mates passed him the ball every possession and he was finally fouled taking him to the free through line. He ended up making both free throws putting him at fifty with less than a minute left he was quickly fouled again. At this winning didn’t matter. Getting the record did. He made the first tying the record. He took the next free throw and it bounced out. He didn’t get the record but tied. Still pretty good if you ask me.

Basketball total clutch ending act 2: Much Much 3pt FTW

The 7th grade B basketball team beat Hudson Bend 33-31. The amazing game of much much with a three pointer in the closing minutes closed the game for a tough victory. We fought hard the entire game (I didn’t do to much only a few buckets) with contribution one way or another from every player on the team. The hustle was better tonight than some of the other games which made up for some sloppy turn overs but over all great game guys let’s get me again in January. GO WILDCATS!!!

P.S. Much Much is clutch much. THREEEEEEEEEEEEE.
